As a Kindergarten teacher, I will encourage all children to reach their full potential by providing a safe and nurturing environment where shared experiences are enriched to help all scholars reach for the stars!

Today in Kindergarten

Today we read the story The Ant and the Grasshopper.  After the story we had a choice to make - Do I want to be the grasshopper or the ant?  Then we drew a picture of what we would do if we were that character.  Mrs. K then asked us what character we chose and why we chose it.

This afternoon we learned a new math game called grab bag addition.  We played as partners first and then we added it to our math stations.

Today in Kindergarten 4-4-2012

We made insects and bugs we found in the book, The Very Quiet Cricket by Eric Carle.  We added details on the insect and the setting.  Eric Carle's books are cool!

Community

We drew on the tables with markers to make a community.  A community is where you live, work and play.  We made houses, police stations, hospitals, vet clinics, fire stations, churches, Wal-mart, grocery stores and roads to connect them all.  It was fun!
